It's a bird! It's a plane! Nope, it's a Utility Knife. BUT - - not just any Utility Knife, it's the SpeedRockerSS!
I had a crush in high school on a guy who drove a nice, shiny black SS or maybe I just had a crush on his car... and this is another infamous SS - the CH Hanson heavy-duty fixed blade utility knife MINUS the heavy! It’s compact, lightweight, and perfect for any user application, but it’s especially handy for scoring drywall.
What makes SpeedRocker-SSTM so special ? The ScorSlotTM, which allows the user to snap a tape measure blade directly into the knife over the blade.

MK Diamond, an industry leader in tile saws has just sent a bunch of their new TX3 10" Wet Tile Saw to Tool King. This highly-versatile wet tile saw is top of the line, and carries the quality that only MK Diamond can bring to a tile saw. Compact enough for portability around the jobsite, but with a 55PSI water pump that effectively mists both sides of the blade, the resulting massive drop in dust makes the TX3 ideal for indoor use as well. Just think: no longer will you have to cut a stack of tile outdoors in the ever-changing elements, then lug it inside to continue the job. But if that is your sort of thing, then read no further! |

I
have been in the market for a more accurate table saw. I am looking at
the Sawstop Contractor saw for the obvious safety reasons along with
their reputation for quality saws. The price is much more than other
contract saws and comparable to a good number of good quality cabinet
saws. The selling point for cabinet saws are known for their stability,
accuracy and dust collection. I understand the SS contractor saws dust
collection is not perfect, but pretty good. On the subject of (assuming
I get the SS T-glade Fence system) can I get the accuracy of a cabinet
saw (good enough for cabinet making cuts)? And how well does the SS
Contractor saw hold its alignment once tuned as compared to a quality
cabinet saw? -Dale
Dale,
Thanks for the inquiry.
Firstly,
I would like to say that I personally own a SawStop Cabinet Saw and I
have also done several demos on both the cabinet and contractor’s
saws.
Obviously, SawStop released the contractor’s saw for use with
contractors on jobsites. SawStop’s focus is on safety in the shop and
now on the jobsite.
By the way, it is certainly easier to move a 250
pound contractor’s saw from jobsite to jobsite than a 650+ pound
cabinet saw.

TULSA, Okla. - August 1, 2008 -
The new Hilti WSR 36-A is the cordless Reciprocating saw that professionals can depend on for cutting through the same tough applications that are typically performed with a corded saw, without the hassle or set up time of cords or Generators. With the 36 V 3.3 Ah CPC Li-Ion battery the WSR 36-A is the highest capacity cordless reciprocating saw on the market. And, because it's compatible with all Hilti 36 V CPC Li-Ion batteries it's easy to standardize on one battery for multiple Hilti cordless tools.

DeWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, announced the launch of its corded and cordless TrackSaws (DWS520 and DC351). The DeWALT TrackSaws provide a new option to finish carpenters, woodworkers, and contractors looking for a portable tool to make straight, splinter-free, precise cuts. Winner of a 2008 International Design Excellence Award, the TrackSaws combine the precision and cut-quality of a table saw, the capacity of a Panel saw, and the portability of a Circular saw.
Christopher Schwartz from Popular Woodworking describes a TrackSaw as such, "The genius of these systems is in the track. For most applications you can simply set the track down on your work and position its zero-clearance edge on your line. Then it's just plunge and go. Rarely do you have to even clamp the rail in place because it's quite grippy." He also compares it to Festool's TS 55 EQ plunge saw in his article at PopularWoodworking.com.
