bostitchcpack3r.jpgToolking currently has a great deal on the Bostitch CPACK3R  compressor combo kit for $189 (reconditioned). You read me right, only one hundred and eighty-nine dollar bills. If you've been shopping around for a finish nailer, trim nailer, Stapler, compressor kit, you know that this is a steal of a deal. (hint: go to the Lakewood Superstore and check it out there)

The Bostitch CPACK3R includes a SB-1664FN Finish Nailer that drives 16GA straight finish nails from 1" to 2-1/2", a SB-125BN Brad Nailer that drives 18GA brad nails from 5/8" to 1-1/4" and a SB-100SX Narrow Crown Stapler that drives 18GA 7/32" crown SX staples from 1/2" to 1". Besides the guns, the Bostitch CPACK3R also comes with a 1/4" x 40’ Air Hose with MPT fittings and a nice canvas carrying bag.

You may be currently comparing the Bostitch to the PorterCable CFNBNS 3-gun compressor kit. The Porter Cable kit also includes a Brad Nailer BN125AR, which uses 18 Gauge, 5/8" to 1-1/4" brad nails, a Finish Nailer FN250BR which uses 16 Gauge, 3/4" to 2-1/2" finish nails, and a Finish Stapler NS100AR, which uses 18 Gauge, 1/4" staples from 1/2" to 1" long. portercablecompressorkit.jpg

The difference between the two is in the compressor. While both compressors have 6 gallon tanks, the Porter Cable is a lower profile, 0.8 HP, which features a 10 Amps, 120 VAC motor, and 150 PSI pressure. The Bostitch CAP60P-OF features a 2 HP motor with 135psi pressure. Basically, the for $259(reconditioned), the Porter Cable will push 15psi more pressure. But both the PorterCable and the Bostitch compressors feature an oil-free pump for no maintenance and the ability to run on standard household current.

What will it be, the Bostitch CPACK3R for $189 or the PorterCable CFNBNSR for $259? For even more screamin' deals (hint-hint), stop by the Toolking Superstore in Lakewood, Colorado. Because of freight charges when purchasing online, you may be able to get an even lower price by walking it out the store yourself!

I was looking at these two recently on other sites; IMO the Bostitch is the clear winner.

That said, the warranty info on the refurbs is a bit unclear to me -- is it a 1 year warranty on the nailers and compressor, or a 7 yr warranty on the nailers and 1 yr on the compressor?

Of course, I'd love a 7 yr warranty on the compressor, but I don't think anyone's going to do that. At least not with an oilless.

It's a one year warranty on both the nailers and the compressor.
