Surrounded by the low rumble of diesel engines in the shop and a hint of fresh oil in the air, I take out my Performance M210 and get ready for a small workout from the head bolts of a freshly rebuilt 6-cylinder diesel engine. As I prepare for the last step of the torque sequence, someone close by revs up an engine and dumps the smell of exhaust all over the shop. Like cigarettes to an addict, I take a deep, heavenly inhale. The last head bolt—click, click—and sheer satisfaction rushes through my veins. Ahhh, it's the simple things.
Tools can make or break a technician; they can mean the difference between an easy job and a difficult day. So I checked out the various torque Wrenches that Tool King offers with a critical eye. I was very pleased to find the Performance M210 ½” & 3/8 “ Dual Drive Torque Wrench. This wrench features a reversible torque design, chrome vanadium ratchet gear with a heat treated, non-slip comfort grip handle, and 20 to 150 ft-lb range. I know you've had those infuriating moments, when you can not find the size socket in the particular drive torque wrench. It is useful to have options other than reducers or enlargers. The Performance M210 gives you those options.
The Performance M210 is available at Tool King for a mere 32 bucks.
Needless to say, whenever I am sitting outside at lunch and hear a customer fire up a diesel engine, I smile as the sounds and smells of the shop come rushing back to me. Long live diesels!
