Bosch has the newest kid on the compact drill/driving block, the PS30. "Yea, sure" you're probably thinking, "What new and different can the PS30 have that the PS20 and PS40 don't have?" Well, for one it's a DRILL. The PS20 and PS40 are drivers-that is, they are intended for driving screw type fasteners, not boring holes in things. In fact, the Bosch PS30 is quite possibly the smallest pro-quality drill ever made.
Read on to see ten things that make the new Bosch PS30 a unique tool
10 good things about Bosch’s new PS30 12V Max Litheon™ Drill/Driver:
-
3/8" three-jawed chuck: This is designed to do whatever you might
need it to do in a single days work such as simple drilling, drilling
with spade bits, cutting with hole saws, socket fastening, screwdriving
and more.
- The PS30 delivers 220 inch-pounds of torque.
- 20+1 clutch to keep the torque under control
- 2-speed drivetrain delivers between 400 - 1100 rpm (at full speed
that's twice the speed of any other drill/driver in its class).
- Weighs 2.4 pounds
- Ergonomic soft grip and slim profile for comfort.
- Built-in LED light.
- 30-minute charge time on the battery.
- 12v Max Litheon battery platform (formerly called 10.8v Litheon, compatible with all the other Ultra-Compact Bosch Pocket Series tools).
- Bosch recycles their old power tools.
We'll test it out for you soon! Check back for a full review on the Bosch PS30 drill driver.
