DeWalt Announces Three New Battery Start Generators Print E-mail

dewalt-generator.gifWe reported on DeWalt's new push-to-start generator a few months ago, and now it looks like not one, but three new Generators are being produced and will be available very soon!

The three models are:

Model
Max Output
DG4400B
4400 watts
DG6300B
6300 watts
DG7000B
7000 watts

The starter motors on each of these generators is powered by a DeWalt 18v rechargeable battery instead of the lead-acid battery typically found on generators of this type. The problem with Lead Acid is that these batteries tend to spontaneously die or lose their charge over just a few weeks. If you went more than a month between each use of the generator, it typically meant buying a car battery charger or jump-starting the generator from a vehicle.

All three models will output both 120v and 240v for  job site flexibility.

Each of DeWalt's new battery start generator includes an 18v battery and charger, so you'll always be ready to go. All three are also equipped with a recoil ("pull cord") starting system, so even in the worst case scenario, you'll still be able to get the generator running.

We know it's silly to purchase tools based purely on how they look, but these new DeWalt generators look simply awesome.
