dc628k_k1.gifYou read all about the DeWalt new DC608K Cordless Brad Nailer on Monday morning. Well, we've got another great DeWalt nailer to feature folks, it's the DeWalt DC628K Cordless Finish Nailer. The run time on this one is 720-2" nails on one charge and yes, the DeWalt 18v XRP Nailers use the same battery as all your other DeWalt tools. With no maintenance, no gas cartridges to buy and no hoses or cords attached, you will be one smiling nailer with this tool in your hands (just picture my brother Joe now with that s*%!-eatin grin on his face).

The DeWalt DC628K sinks from 1-1/4"-2-1/2" 15 gauge nails into hardwoods. With a 34 degree angle, it makes it easy to install crown molding and trim without having to torque your wrist at an uncomfortable angle. The tool is already angled for you. DeWalt also makes a 20 degree angle finish nailer, the DeWalt DC618K. It's really comes down to a personal preference as to which degree of angle is best for your use.

A few other things that I like about the DeWalt DC628K is that it has an adjustable depth setting that is right on the side of the tool, making it very easy to reach and adjust while you are working. Like many new cordless tools in the market, the DC628K has an onboard LED light to increase the visibility of your workspace. It also has a clever tool-free jam clear to easily remove jammed nails (not that you ever jam nails, right?).

One of the big advantages of the DeWalt cordless nailers is that they are flywheel based tools. Basically, flywheel based tools can fire more nails per battery charge because they use only the energy needed to fire per nail, depending upon the hardness of the wood. So, you're probably thinking that you like this tool about now but maybe because it's so nice that it's very expensive. Think again cause the DeWalt DC628K (the whole kit with battery, charger, nailer and storage case and safety glasses!) is available at ToolKing.com for  *^%&*! --such a low price that I can't quote how much it actually is, it but I will tell you this, it's almost $150 lower than what we are allowed to advertise it for. Yup, that makes it 44% below retail! That's ALMOST half of what it's supposed to be being sold for!
