If you have been to either Porter-Cable or Delta's website recently, you've probably noticed how both currently sport a "Countdown to Precision" clock. The clock is apparently counting down to the upcoming AWFS show in Las Vegas where both brands are planning on releasing mysterious new "precision" tools.

Today we noticed that Delta is preparing to release a sweet new line of high-tech drill presses. These drill presses feature a laser crosshair that precisely indicates exactly where the hole will be bored.

Yes, we do know that other manufacturers have offered similar functionality for a few years now. Fortunately, Delta has also developed a few other features that make their new drill presses unique.
So what could Delta have developed that make their new drill presses more precise than other laser-equipped models?

How about an integrated LCD display that displays both the speed and depth at which you are drilling? This neat little innovation will ensure that you are always drilling at exactly the desired speed and to exactly the right depth. This will make consistent drilling a total breeze.

But that's not all! The unique table offers an infinite amount of flexibility and is capable of tilting three directions-left, right, and forward. A removable insert makes it possible to drill all the way through the table with even the largest bits. A quick-adjust depth stop makes it easy to set a desired drilling depth for repetitive boreing tasks.
