milwaukee-mitersaws.jpgMilwaukee is having a couple of new babies: two new Miter Saws to be specific. The 6950-20 12" Miter saw with Dual Bevel Miter and the 6955-20 12" Miter Saw with Sliding Dual Bevel Miter. It's worth pointing out that these two models are the first miter saws that we've ever seen coming from Big Red.

What makes this miter saw better than the rest?
Compared to it's top competitor, Milwaukee's new 12" miter saw features a Miter Angle Fine Adjust with Digital Readout which is accurate to .1º. It also features Milwaukee's patented "Constant Power Technology" for constant blade speed which results in smoother cutting, a dust collection port that is 75% efficient, onboard job site lights to illuminate the cut line, and a single lever bevel adjustment.  Worth noting is that Milwaukee has not integrated a cut-line laser  into these two new products, a feature that is becoming somewhat commonplace amongst miter saws.

The revolutionary new Milwaukee 12" miter saw 6955-20 with the sliding dual bevel miter will start shipping on June 16th to your local Milwaukee dealers. The Milwaukee 6950-20 will be available July 7th. Why not the same birthday? I can only guess that they each want their own individual splash introduction to the fine woodworking world.

Finally!
written by Kevin Bertetto , June 07, 2008
These saws look great, and being from Milwaukee, they should be quite durable. I have the 10" compound slider now, it's about 8 years old and has proven bulletproof. Milwaukee has been lacking in this department for quite some time by not having a 12" model with dual bevel. Looks like they are finally entering the market with a viable product!
