For a few days now, we've been hearing rumors that soon Home Depot will soon be the sole big-box tool retailer carrying Milwaukee brand power tools, which have previously been available from both Lowes and Home Depot stores. These rumors have been confirmed and it looks like Lowes will no longer be a retailer of Milwaukee products. Of course, this could mean that there could be some good deals to be had on Milwaukee Tools at Lowes stores.
In a way, it does make a lot of sense. After all, the company who owns Milwaukee Tools, Techtronic Inc (TTI), is also the manufacturer of Home Depot's popular store brand power tools, Ryobi and Ridgid. They also make a lot of Craftsman-brand power tools, Dirt Devil/Hoover vacuum cleaners and a few other brands of consumer home goods.
Editor's Note: We initially published that Home Depot was going to start carrying Milwaukee tools..but that turns out it was old news. Thanks to ToolDork for pointing out our error.

Anybody notice the loose fit between the battery and the drill base on the V18 0824 hammer drill/driver.
