Looking for a tool to make cutting through plastic pipe and tubing easier? Then check out the new RIDGID® RC-2375 ratcheting plastic pipe and tubing cutter.
Cutting up to 2-3/8-inch O.D. capacity, the RC2375 pipe cutter has an advanced blade design combined with a ratcheting mechanism to reduce the amount of force needed to cut through plastic pipe and tubing, states the manufacturer. Featuring X-CEL(TM) quick-change technology, the blade can be changed in seconds without any tools and lasts up to 2,000 cuts. The quick-change pin has no clips or screws that might be lost during a blade change. Constructed of aluminum and featuring ergonomic handles, the RC-2375 provides a comfortable, lightweight grip for precise and easy cuts of plastic pipe and tubing such as PVC and CPVC, PEX, polyethylene, polybutylene and rubber hose.

The lightweight RC-2375 conveniently fits in a pocket and is operated with one hand, making it easier for you to hold the tubing while cutting. An easy turn thumb latch holds the cutter closed and protects the blade when the cutter is not in use. For convenience, ergonomic grips built into the bottom handle are spaced at 1/2-inch increments to provide a quick pipe measuring scale.
"The addition of the RC-2375 completes the RIDGID plastic cutter line," says Renee Brown, product manager, plumbing technologies, RIDGID. "The RC-2375 cutter addresses the need to quickly and easily cut larger plastic pipe diameters that have increased in popularity."
