dewalt_dwd215b.jpgIf you are still using corded tools, then it is likely for good reason. You either are in a shop where you have power or on a jobsite where you need a constant stream of power without the downtime of charging a battery. The good people at DeWalt know that and have continued to improve upon their corded tools in addition to cordless tools accordingly. Specifically, DeWalt has launched a new line of heavy-duty 1/2 inch drills, the DWD215G and the DWD210G.

Increasing your performance is what it's all about and DeWalt is helping you out in their new 1/2 inch drills by putting in 10 amp motors. Compared to the "others" with their 8 amp motors, DeWalt's new motor design has approximately 40 percent more copper than previous models at the same motor size, offering you up to 50 percent more power, more torque, and 0-1,200 RPM for increased drilling performance. Designed for electricians, plumbers, mechanical contractors, HVAC professionals, metal fabricators, carpenters and professional contractors, the DWD215G and the DWD210G have enough power for most heavy-duty jobsite applications.

DeWalt conducted some user research and found that construction professionals seek more options in handle design and grip. As a result, DeWALT designed the DWD215G with a mid-handle grip and the DWD210G with a pistol grip, offering you increased comfort and control. The two grip options give you the opportunity to choose the design that best meets your drilling needs. Additional both handles are equipped with an anti-slip soft grip for comfort. The DWD215G features a durable, all-metal keyless ratcheting chuck with automatic spindle lock for increased bit retention.

Basically, DeWalt's DWD215G and DWD210G are compact, comfortable to use tools capable of handling tough tasks, such as boring holes with spade bits in hardwood, boring large diameter holes with hole saws, and boring holes in masonry and steel.

dewalt_dc984b.jpgIf you are still set on switching to cordless versions of all your tools, and specifically cordless lithium-ion battery powered tools, then check out DeWalt's NANO phosphate lithium ion battery, which is backwards compatible with the other DeWalt cordless tools. The DC984B is a 1/2 inch cordless drill in DeWalt's XRP line. This drill/driver will deliver 450 inch-pounds of torque and can be powered by the new NANO battery. The DC984B is a 3-speed drill that has a maximum speed of 1800rpm and a maximum BPM speed of 30600 to suit your tough drilling and driving needs.
