 The SawHood by Fastcap made using my Miter saw good, clean fun - for however clean and dust-free a miter saw can be. The innovative SawHood is easy to set up and truly reduces the amount of dust floating throughout your workspace, be it a clients house, a garage or a basement. How the SawHood works:
Basically you pull it out of the box, unfold the frame (which has the hood already connected) and connect it to your chopsaw with the two included Clamps. Set up time is about two minutes. When you turn on your chopsaw, the design of the SawHood sends the dust downward to a box or garbage or whatever container you choose to set under your saw stand. The ChopShop Saw Hood saves you time and money because it allows you to spend less time doing clean-up and more time working.
The SawHood is extremely portability because it folds flat for easy storage and weighs only 5 pounds. It will work with most miter saw bases and stands and can also be used with tile saws using the Fastcap SAWHOODTILE tile saw clamp.
You're still going to have some dust when you use the SawHood but as Gordon from the Toolking Superstore says, "Miter saws are difficult tools to collect dust on anyways and the SawHood is one of the few good, inexpensive and portable dust collecting options available."
