The cordless Lithium-Ion M12 Hackzall 2420-22 has stolen my heart if ever a tool could. I even rank the Hackzall up there with the Fein Multimaster which I have declared in more than one article to be my all-time favorite power tool (the multimaster doesn't fit quite as nicely in my purse - the cord is 16 feet long).
The coolest thing about the M12 cordless Hackzall is that I could rip apart a small building with it. With one hand. Because that's all it takes to hold it. The Hackzall is that powerful. And lightweight. And ergonomically designed. And with a Lithium Ion powered cordless battery, you get about 3 hours of runtime before you have to take a break. Lithium Ion batteries also have superior cold weather operation; basically that comes down to near full run-time performance down to -4 degrees Farenheit. When you work in places like Buffalo, Milwaukee, or Canada, that's important. Milwaukee's lithium ion battery system is backed with a 5-year/2000 charge warranty - the best in the business.
Do you like to tear stuff apart? Did I mention how fun the Hackzall 2420-22 is to use? But not only for destruction. If you're installing PVC piping, cutting out drywall, shaving your beard, the Hackzall is good for delicate and accurate work as well. As soon we get our Hackzall 2420-22 to review, we'll post a video demo for your inquiring minds.
