Porter-Cable's new belt sander is one of the smallest we've yet seen. Powered by a 5 amp motor, the 2½"x14" sander attains a quick belt speed of 1100 SFPM (surface feet/minute). The sides are flush with the belt, so it's easy to manipulate into tight areas, like perpendicular surfaces.
The unit is also well-balanced with a low center of gravity. This makes it exceptionally easy and comfortable to work with.
It's small size makes the 371K a great choice for around-the-house sanding jobs and craftsmen needing something a little faster than a basic palm sander.
