Hot off the press from Illinois:
Vaughan Reinvents the Framing hammer, the popular American icon, by introducing the new S2 framing hammer.
Hebron, IL. --Vaughan & Bushnell, the premier hand tool producer since 1869, has reinvented the popular American icon by introducing the new S2 framing hammer. The S2 is a split-head; hammer, meaning the head is split in two, which interrupts and dissipates shock generated during use thereby greatly reducing stress to the users hand, wrist and arm. The S2, already receiving International recognition by winning numerous design awards, presents a revolutionary look and feel to the ordinary framing hammer.
The S2 hammer offers many innovative features never seen before such as overstrike plate handle protection, modular head design with independent face, claw and handle and anti-vibration pads for shock absorption. Additional popular features are precision balance for a zero gravity center line and a HeadstartTM Magnetic Nail Holder for both standard and duplex nails. All of these features were designed to prevent less wear and tear on the user while making the job easier and faster. The S2, at 18 oz., has the feel of titanium with the strength of steel. The S2 retails for around U.S. $50.00 and will be available at hardware stores, home centers and building supply stores in the U.S. and Canada. For additional information on the S2 or other Vaughan products visit www.vaughanmfg.com.
Four generations of family running Vaughan & Bushnell sounds like quality passed down through the generations. But how do these compare to the high end Stiletto Hammers? Mens Health says the Stiletto's are better? Anyone else try them?
