As far as Combo Kits go, the Makita LXT407 is a nice, well-rounded kit that also happens to be powered by an Energy Star qualified battery charger for less environmental impact. Nice, huh? So as you are working you can think "I'm helping to save the environment right now". The LXT407 comes with an impact driver, a 1/2" hammer driver-drill, a Reciprocating saw, two lithium ion batteries with charger, and a Xenon flashlight all packaged up in a handy, heavy duty, reusable carrying case.

Specifically, the LXT Lithium-Ion battery and optimum charging system produces 280% total lifetime work with 2x more cycles. Included with the LXT407 is an Optimum Charger, model DC18SC, that charges the Lithium Ion batteries in 30-45 minutes and has a handy timer that beeps when your battery is ready. The combo kit comes with 2 LXT 18v Li-Ion batteries. LXT Lithium Ion batteries provide longer run time, 5x lower self-discharge and 16 firm holding contact terminals for constant high power. The nice thing about LXT Lithium-Ion battery technology is the fact that even after your impact driver has sat in your garage for a month or longer, it is ready to use. The lithium ion battery has 5 times lower self-discharge than a regular NiCad and doesn't carry the dreaded "Memory effect".

The Makita LXT407 also comes with a Xenon flashlight (model BML185) which can be adjusted from 90-180 degrees and runs for 4.3 hours. With a very cool style carrying case, you are always ready to pack up your power tools and go.
