The 100% titanium and 100% awesome Stiletto TiBone TBII hammer has just been bestowed as the “expert's pick” in the March 2008 issue of Men's Health Magazine.
Beating out the Estwing WF2I, VaughanS2 and Redback Maxistrike, the 15 oz Stiletto TiBone TBII was praised for being “slick”, “light” and “tricked out”. Although the $220 hammer was the most expensive hammer in the group (by far), the expert judging the various Hammers enthusiastically pointed out the TBII's “perfect center of gravity and well-designed grip” and mentioned that if he was “driving nails all day long, this is the hammer I'd want”.
We've been big fans of the Stiletto TiBone TBII since we first laid eyes on it several months ago and are glad to see it start receiving the recognition it deserves. According to Stiletto, the titanium construction delivers up to 50% more striking power into the target while significantly reducing nerve-damaging vibration. Thanks to an integrated magnet that holds the nail, smashing your fingers with a hammer will become a thing of the past. The clever sidepull nail puller makes it a piece of cake to pull nails with one 180° motion.
Functionality aside, the TBII is a hammer made from solid titanium and that's just freakin' cool.
The suggested retail price on a Stiletto TiBone TBII Hammer is about $283, but you can find them at places like ToolKing.com for “just” $219.99. At that price, it's clearly not intended for everyone, but rather for those individuals who use hammers and want to have the absolute best (and coolest!) tools money can buy.
Stiletto makes quite a variety of hammers and the TiBone TBII is the flagship product in the line. Slightly less expensive Stiletto hammers are also available with hickory wood handles or poly-fiberglass handles in various weights and configurations. Tool King carries the full line of Stiletto, so be sure and take a monent browse the entire line of Stiletto Hammers
