We found this interesting prototype of a table saw designed specifically for your kitchen.

It's a "table saw" designed to be used for kitchen cutting tasks. If you've ever had the need to blaze through some vegetable slicing, this is a pretty good way to do it. The designer, Oliver Beckert, utilized a saw designed for removing medical casts to make it "finger-safe". No word on if anyone will actually manufacturer it.
