Toolking has a great special on the Bostitch CPACK3R  3-nailer and compressor combo (see yesterdays post). You can use an air compressor to power pneumatic tools but what else can you use it for? Well, here's 10 other tasks for your air compressor.

carpoolkenny.jpg1. Blow up an air mattress or other "toy" (see left: CarPool Kenny)
2. Clean out and winterize your sprinkler system. See "How to Winterize an Irrigation System".
3. Hook up a blower to it and use it as a high powered dusting machine and/or leaf blower.
4. Air up your vehicle tires.
5. Inflate your water toys and game balls.
6. Painting. Blowing paint around to make cool designs.
7. Power Animatronics. Think of the robots at Chucky Cheese. Those dudes are powered by air compressors.
8. Blow up a bounce house for you and your kids.

9. Power a car. From www.the aircar.com  "Compressed air is a new viable form of power that allows the accumulation and transport of energy."minicats.jpg

10. Potato gun: take a length of PVC pipe, place potato inside one end, nozzle of compressor on the other end. Turn on compressor, aim and fire. Listen to the satisfying "ploompb" sound as the potato makes contact. Hide or run like hell.
See detailed video below. Happy Blowing!!
