What to look for in a table saw

The most expensive investment for most shops is a table saw. The meat and potatoes of any woodworking garage. The table saw is to a workshop what the engine is to a car,so with most table saws being very expensive what are the most important things to look for in your next saw? Stationary table saws can range from 500 to 5,000 dollars so it is important to know what kind of work and capabilities you need be for you make such a pricey investment.

When I recently purchased a tablesaw I took in account a few  things that were important in my purchase:

 

 

Angle Grinders

makita9557anglegrinder.jpgAngle Grinder's can be used for a wide variety of tasks such as cutting and polishing tile, grinding out mortar, cutting stucco and pavers (diamond wheel attachment), removing loose paint and rust (wire brush attachment), and cutting or grinding steel (abrasive wheel). And the great thing is that angle grinders are not expensive. You can get a reconditioned Makita 4-1/2 inch angle grinder with a 7.5 amp motor for as little as $54.

Wood dust also can contain chemicals, carcinogens and fungi which can be inhaled into the lungs causing illness and/or permanent damage.
