A compact, yet full-featured multi-tasking tool, the Multi-Max moves from side to side at high speeds in 3-degree arcs to undertake a wide variety of tasks from sanding and cutting to scraping and grinding. It offers 12 different accessories to help both do-it-yourself enthusiasts and professionals repair, remodel and restore with ease.

The Multi-Max's compact design provides access in tight areas while the ergonomic grip allows for comfort and balanced control. The separate on/off switch lets users maintain a previously selected speed setting upon restarting the tool after it has been turned off. A soft-start feature minimizes abrupt starts and provides a feeling of control as the tool ramps up to the desired speed. Electronic feedback provides consistent speed through even the toughest applications.

Additionally, the Multi-Max sports the innovative new Quick Fit system, which allows for accessory changes twice as fast as similar competitive systems. The Multi-Max also boasts a wide variable speed range from 10,000 to 21,000 oscillations per minute (OPM) and a powerful 1.5 amp motor.

The Dremel Multi-Max will be available beginning in October 2008 at most hardware stores and home improvement centers nationwide. The kit will contain a variety of sanding, cutting and scraping accessories and a storage case starting at $99.99. Accessories, when sold separately, will retail for a suggested retail price between $5.99 and $39.99. In Canada, the Dremel Multi-Max will start at $129, while the accessories that are sold separately will retail for $7.99 to $39.99.
