Reader's Choice: Nail Jack Nail Pullers

Got another user submission about an interesting tool!  Reader Brian Hayes wrote to tell us about Nail Jack nail pullers, which are designed to remove nails, staples and other fasteners from wood while causing a minimum amount of damage, the goal being to make that wood re-usable.  Here's what Brian had to say:

"I call my new NailJacks 'Depression Pliers' because I'm putting money in my pocket. Honestly, boards and trim that were too much work to re-use are much easier to deal with now. There's a YouTube demo available that shows NailJack in action, but usually I can work much faster and without strain. One big improvement is ergonomics. Most nail pullers are awkward and there's risk of cuts and injury, but not with these NailJacks. Best new handtool in decades, I think."

Brian also included a link to the YouTube video that he mentioned.  Keep reading to check it out!

Reader's Choice: Al Cruz's V-Line Clamp

Toologics reader Al Cruz recently sent us some info about a cool tool that he invented himself called the V-Line Clamp.  The V-Line Clamp is designed to make chalk lining super-easy; rather than having to pound in a nail, use two people or sprawl across a surface to get a line set up, you simply stick the V-Line Clamp on an edge, hook the end of your chalk line in it and then make your line!  The V-Line Clamp also has another feature that I think is really nifty: there's a little notch in it that will hold the end of your tape measure for you, freeing you up to make long measurements single-handedly.

In addition to the photo you see here (click it to see the whole image), Al included some written comments and even a YouTube video of his invention in action.  Keep reading to check it all out!

Readers Choice: Demolition Hammer

Ellen Fulton sent us an email regarding a tool that she saw on DIYNetworks Cool Tools show over Thanksgiving and ultimately decided to buy it for her husband for Christmas. We looked it up and sure enough, it looks like a gooden. The Demo Hammer is a convenient combination of a prybar and hammer that looks extremely useful in any kind of teardown situation. I'm sure that the ever-entertaining Chris Grundy made it sound a lot more glamorous and demonstrated a few more fancy features but here's a basic video that we found on YouTube.com demonstrating the Demo Hammer.
