Makita 2704 Table Saw Review

makita2704.jpgLet me tell you why I ended up choosing the Makita 2704 10" Table Saw. First, like most 10" table saws, the 2704 has a 15-amp motor. This particular table saw has the capacity to rip four times the material in a single pass.. The Makita 2704 also has a right-wing extension, which when fully extended, allows you to rip a full sheet of plywood. But those are not the only excellent features of this fine table saw...

Just in!Mk Diamond TX3 10" Tile Saw

MK Diamond, an industry leader in tile saws has just sent a bunch of their new TX3 10" Wet Tile Saw to Tool King.  This highly-versatile wet tile saw is top of the line, and carries the quality that only MK Diamond can bring to a tile saw.  Compact enough for portability around the jobsite, but with a 55PSI water pump that effectively mists both sides of the blade, the resulting massive drop in dust makes the TX3 ideal for indoor use as well.  Just think: no longer will you have to cut a stack of tile outdoors in the ever-changing elements, then lug it inside to continue the job.  But if that is your sort of thing, then read no further!

New Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Autofeed Screwdriver

Being surrounded by countless dozens of different tools everyday here at the Tool King Superstore, I have grown used to seeing the unique and strange-looking tools we have displayed and for sale.  So let's just say it has become a less-common experience than it used to be to find a tool that not only makes me stop and stare, but end up fiddling with it for much longer than I should (or have time for).  But that is exactly what happened to me the other day when I saw the new Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Autofeed Screwdriver.

Bosch PS30 12vMAX Ultra Compact Drill Review

bosch_nail.jpgI had a good opportunity to test out the new Bosch PS30 Compact Drill/Driver this weekend. I was refinishing my deck and part of that project included pulling up loose nails and replacing them with deck screws (yup, shoulda used screws in the first place but then i wouldn't have had so much fun trying out the Bosch PS30).

As you can see from the photos, I replaced the nails with 3" deck screws, so the holes were "predrilled". The results were just like Bosch has declared and I was able to drive in 98-3" screws before the battery ran out of juice. And that was just how it happened, screw number 98 went in fine with plenty of torque and when I got to screw number 99, nothing. It didn't slowly run out of power like a NiCad battery would. The 12v lithium-ion battery just stopped. A little whrrrr, then stopped.boschps30screws.jpg

The PS30 comes with two batteries however, so I didn't have to stop working. With a 30 minute recharge rate, I could have kept screwing all day. Thankfully, I ran out of nails to pull.

New Bosch 36V 4-Piece Combo Kits

The people at Bosch have become quite adept at continuing to offer a wide variety of quality power tools.  With the introduction of their new 36V cordless combo kits, they continue to do so.    The normal combo kits can often have their included items set in stone.  But Bosch offers the same kit with 3 different options on the batteries included with the tools.  The new Bosch CPK4036, CPK4136, and CPK4236 are all the essentially the same kit, but with the different choices in batteries, they can easily conform to the specific need(s) of any tool user.
