DeWalt Miter Saw Stand DW723

DeWalt_mtersawstandI was at my brother Joe's cabin checking out all his tools and asked him what his most useful tool was. Because he had just finished the trim at the cabin, Joe said that his current favorite tool was the DeWalt Miter Saw Stand DW723.

Joe specifically liked the DW723 miter saw stand because he can set it up for pre-measured distances. This feature allows him to cut multiple door trim pieces without having to reset the measurements each time. He also liked that he can cut trim lengths of up to 16 feet base and crown molding with ease because of the arm rests extensions.

Weighing 46 pounds, the DeWalt DW723 Miter Saw Stand features lightweight aluminum construction for easy transport to and from the jobsite. Designed to work with all brands of miter saws, this stand features a 5-1/2-foot beam that extends to support up to 16 feet and up to 400 pounds of material. The DW72 is easy to set up with durable legs to provide superior support and it also folds for easy storage. Its stops/supports can be repositioned quickly anywhere along the rail for working quickly. Also included are non-marring feet on tool mount that will not scratch material. The DeWalt DW723 miter saw stand comes with a DeWalt 3-year warranty.

Samurai Dave had this to about his saw horse purchase, "I liked different features of the different stands I reviewed, like large wheels, heavy construction and additional work supports. Some looked like I could copy their design and weld from square tubular steel. Weight would be a consideration. Combine this with the weight of the saw, it could be over 160 pounds. Getting it into and out of my SUV without trashing my bumper (and my back) would be a trick. Using aluminum rectangular tubing would be lighter, but really pricey! After looking at the others, I decided on the Dewalt 723. I am glad I did! Most of the others come in kit form, the 723 is fully assembled. It folds into a compact package, is relatively light, very sturdy, made from high quality components, and it is one of the most professional looking stands around (especially when mounting a matching Dewalt miter saw on it!)."

The Wood Hacker at Amazon.com had this to say about the DW723, "I have the Dewalt miter stand that included two DW723 stands however I was doing a large project that needed multiple stops both long and short. Instead of moving the existing DW723 stands around constantly I added two more of the DW723's on the main rail and was able to cut down the number of stop changes in half. In addition these added support in the middle to the long piece of wood that I was cutting. I just wish I had purchased these sooner."

The DeWalt Miter Saw Stand DW723 retails for $219. Check it out at Toolking.com.
