Dremel Multi-Max for $60 !

As far as design and ergonomics, the Dremel Multi-Max is comfortable to use with the on/off switch in easy thumbs reach. This on/off switch is separate from the speed setting, which can be maintained when the multi-tool is shut off. Dremel's multi-max has a rubber grip that helps with shock absorption which minimizes fatigue while you are using the tool. The Dremel multi-tool weighs only 1.9 pounds too, making it one of the more lightweight multi-tools on the market. Featuring a 1.5amp motor that runs from 10,000 to 21,000 OPM (oscillations per minute), Dremel's multitool can easily cut through a 1-1/4 inch oak door jamb, plywood subfloor, drywall and more.

Just for grins, compared to Fein MultiMaster, the Dremel has a narrower body which for smaller hands makes it easier to handle. The Dremel has a shorter cord (at 6 feet) and the accessories are not of the same high quality as Fein's accessories. The Dremel blades and scrapers are made of thinner metal and have a smaller cutting area - but with a special accessory attachment, the Fein accessories will fit your Dremel Multimax. One more difference is that on the Dremel, the accessories are attached with a hex screw as opposed to the new Top Action Lever System on the newer Fein Multimasters. But for 60 bucks, the hex screw works great.

The reconditioned Dremel Multi-max kit at Tooliday.com comes with the multi-tool, wrench and plastic molded storage case. Note: It does not say if any blades or attachments are included in the $60 special. The reconditioned Dremel Multi-Max comes with a one-year manufacturer's warranty.
