My brother Joe is going to love this, he’s hooked on his Paslode cordless nailers. Paslode now has a new Fuel + Nail Combo Pack with a twist-on adapter, that lets older generation Paslode cordless framing nailers take advantage of the combo pack concept. Now all you Paslode cordless framing nailer users can use the PowerBoost™ Black Tip Coated Nails (3” and 3-1/4”), which are only available in the Fuel + Nail Combo Packs. The PowerBoost™ Black Tip Coating is a proprietary coating that allows Paslode cordless framing nailers to drive the nail flush into the hardest engineered lumber, such as LVL, something many pneumatic nailers cannot do.
“Until now, the Fuel + Nail Combo Pack would work only with our new cordless framing nailer, the CF325,” said Steve Golich, Marketing Manager for Paslode. “Today we are including a backward compatible adapter with each Fuel + Nail Combo Pack so that contractors using older versions of our tools can benefit from the convenience of the Fuel + Nail Combo Pack and the performance of the PowerBoost™ nail.”
Today, Bosch introduces two innovative new products that will take the product family into long-distance laser range finding with a splash. Bosch’s powerful new GLR500 and GLR825 boast incredible precision – accurate to within 1 millimeter over their entire ranges – without sacrificing the compactness or durability that have come to characterize the company’s laser measuring tools in all ranges.
Capable of quickly and accurately measuring in 11 different modes over extended distances (825’ for the GLR825, 500’ for the GLR500), Bosch’s new range finding tools are perfect for builders, architects, construction supervisors, building engineers, finish and trim carpenters, project estimators, inspectors, plumbers, electricians, appraisers and even police departments investigating accident and crime scenes. And, even over extended distances, both tools are accurate to within 1 millimeter (0.04inch). That means users of all types can measure with confidence in any application.
With all the hype about cordless tools going on, are you like my dad and are still one of those diehard hand tool people? Well then you're in luck because Milwaukee has introduced a few new useful hand tools this early summer. I've been that person who has purchased the $5.99 hand saw because it was such a great deal. And then realized it was only a good deal until it broke upon first use and I had to spend more time and money to drive to the hardware store and purchase the quality brand that I should have bought in the first place.
The first of Milwaukee's new hand tools is the Compact Hack Saw 48-22-0012 which features a compact design that is ideal for small cutting applications. This hack saw has a tool free blade change, a rubber over mold that adds some comfort while you're using it, and an adjustable blade length for easier flush cutting.
Another great hand tool from Milwaukee is the PVC/ABS Hand Saw 48-22-0223. This hand saw features a tool free blade change to avoid downtime and increase efficiency while you're working. The 48-22-0223 features rubber over mold for comfort and a metal core body and clamshell handle design to prevent damage from abusive job site conditions. Sure, you could cut PVC a lot faster with a Milwaukee M12 hackzall but if you don't have one, this hand saw works just as well if not as quick.
Milwaukee's new M12™ Cordless Fork Meter is a heavy duty True-RMS electrical tester for professional residential, commercial and industrial applications. Powered by the Milwaukee M12 Lithium Ion battery, the 2207-21 is four tools in one providing current measurement, voltage measurement, voltage detection and task lighting. In addition, this new tool provides a wide 0.63 inch fork opening, high 200amp current range and a high contrast white-on-black display.
Milwaukee's Cordless Fork Meter 2207-21 measures up to 200 amps and has a wide voltage range to 1000 volts AC /DC. Features include: True-RMS for accurate measurement in all applications; Lo-Z measurement to eliminate ghost voltage; built-in voltage detector and LED work light; high contrast, white on black display with backlight for easy reading; rugged over-molding to increase durability and user grip; and CAT IV 600V / CAT III 1000V for greater safety. Comes with Milwauke's 5-year warranty.
Hey guess what! You can now drill holes in glass with your Dremel rotary tool and make all those cool things you've been dreaming about!
Dremel has introduced a set of Glass Drilling Bits to their rotary tool accessory line. The bits, available now at your favorite hardware and home improvement stores (like Toolking.com), come in two different sizes for different project needs: The 1/8–inch bit, priced at $19.99 is perfect for drilling holes in jewelry, ornaments and wind chimes, while the 1/4–inch bit for $24.99 works well for decorative projects like glass or bottle displays. The bits can also be used to drill ceramic wall tile for applications such as mounting a towel bar in a kitchen or bathroom, or to drill a glass door to mount cabinet hardware such as a hinge or drawer pull.
Dremel's glass drilling bits have 360 degrees of diamond grit on each bit to allow for rasping a larger hole when needed. Each bit comes with Dremel cutting oil, which is an essential for increasing the bit’s performance and extending its life. Holes on the sides of each bit allow for easy removal of glass debris from inside the bit using a pin or tack.
