| CFM | Cubic Feet per Minute: A measure of the usage of air movement in a particular tool. The higher this number is on an air compressor, the more frequently the compressor will need to run to keep the tool working. With a vacuum, it is quantity of air moved by the vacuum motor at a particular system load, such as 2-1/2" orifice (hose). The actual system load is determined by the type, size and length of the hose used, the accessory tool used and the filter system used.
