| Circular saw | Circular saws are used to cut wood, steel, masonry, and ceramic tile. Classified to by the diameter of their blades, 5-3/8" to 7-1/4" are the most common. Features to look for include: blade capacity which determines the maximum depth of cut a saw can make; electric brakes which reverse the flow of electricity in the saw motor when the trigger is released; and shaft locks which make it easier to change the saw blade.
